Vein Treatments in Orange County

For many men and women in Orange County, varicose veins and other vein disorders prove difficult to remedy. Often, people suffer through numerous unsuccessful treatments - treatments that fail to remedy the underlying condition and produce unsatisfactory results.

Dr. Richard J. Fischel and Dr. John P. Maurice are board-certified cardiovascular surgeons with the training and experience to identify and effectively treat a wide variety of vein disorders. At their Orange County offices, they consistently treat the tough vein problems, often achieving successful results in patients whose past procedures have failed.

VNUS® Closure®

VNUS Closure, also known as radiofrequency obliteration, utilizes state-of-the-art radiofrequency technology to eliminate varicose veins. A catheter is inserted through tiny incisions, and radiofrequency energy is delivered. This heats the vein, causing it to collapse and seal shut, and it is later eliminated as waste by the body.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy is a microinjection procedure which eradicates reticular veins and spider veins. An FDA-approved medication, called a sclerosant, is injected into the diseased vein to irritate the vein wall and cause it to collapse and seal shut, eventually to be absorbed by the body.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy

Ambulatory Phlebectomy is an outpatient procedure for the removal of large, troublesome varicose veins. The diseased veins are removed, section by section, through tiny incisions which require no sutures.

Perforator Vein Procedures

Perforator Vein Procedures are relatively minor surgeries performed to tie off the perforator vein - a blood vessel that links a surface vein with a deeper vein. When this vein is sealed off, the blood will no longer build up in the surface veins, remedying conditions such as varicose veins and venous insufficiency.
